The Moon Bears are a Box Lacrosse Team founded in 2019. Our origin story is Connor Wilson started us to enter the prestigious Aleš Hřebeský Memorial Tournament in Prague, Czech Republic in April 2019. Following that tournament in the fall of 2019, Connor asked Ryan Conwell if he was interested in entering the team into the newer, but established LAXNAI tournament held in the Onondaga Nation. Together, these two have been part of keeping the spirit of the Moon Bears alive, becoming fixtures at both tournaments.

While it may not need an explanation, the Moon Bears were at home with everyone else for a few years. The global COVID-19 Pandemic forced the cancellation of both the Aleš Hřebeský Memorial and LAXNAI in 2020 and 2021. While lacrosse was being played in this time frame, holding these large scale international tournaments was a very large hurdle to clear. But the Moon Bears would be back!
